The festival will be officially opened at 10:00 am, Abbot Hall Park by the Mayor of Kendal, Cllr Guy Trivengadum kicking off a day full of events and entertainment.
Manna House Mask and Totem Pole and catch a performance by drumming groups at the Birdgcage in the town centre. There are storytelling sessions with Claire Griffle in the morning and afternoon at Kendal Library and in between a workshop from Chickpea Press.
The Marque in the Abbott Hall park will be packed with activities, demonstrations and opportunities to have a go at something a little bit different.
An international coffee morning will be taking place in the Abbott Hall Social Centre from 10:30 until noon and The Great Get Together Picnic will happen at the Peace Garden in Abbott Hall Park. Held in honour of murdered MP Jo Cox and will be a Jacobs join so bring your contribution and make some new friends.
There will be a range of stalls in the park manned by friendly people who would like to show you the projects and services they offer and how you could get involved.
The Unitarian Chapel is hosting the Hidden Stories Shared Lives exhibition in the chapel and a workshop in the school room by Cumbria Development Education Centre (CDEC).
If you need a break from it all drop into the South Lakeland Foyer and visit the Unity Prayer Room. A secular space which will offer a place for quiet reflection.
For refreshments and a bit of a treat visit the Peoples Café at South Lakeland Foyer which serves an excellent range of food and drinks. And find out about their unique approach to food waste.
The final event of the day is a screening of the film Pride at the Warehouse café at The Brewery Arts Centre.
