The SLEDP is made up from members from the public, private and third sectors aiming to:
•         Seek to reduce inequality on the grounds of the Equality Act’s Protected Characteristics
•         Celebrate diversity and reduce discrimination
•         Improve the life chances and opportunities for people who live in, work in, and visit South Lakeland.

SLEDP members have played a key role in organising the Kendal Unity Festival and will have a presence throughout the day.
