The Bahá’í community of Kendal, with their friends and neighbours, are working together to contribute to the spiritual and material progress of our society. Together we are striving to establish a pattern of community life that embodies the principle of the oneness of humanity. 

South Lakeland Interfaith Forum is set up by local residents who wish to exchange dialogue through faith and build bridges across communities. Perhaps in this increasingly diverse world we live in followers of all faiths and none can share inspiration and learn from one another.

The SVP stall will be one with plenty of information about its work for those in need with an emphasis on what we do locally and Social Justice.

Our Mini Vinnies group of Dean Gibson children will be offering activities from mid morning to mid afternoon. These will include Guess the Name of the Teddy Bear and games on Equality and Diversity themes.

Kendal Community Theatre is a professionally directed theatre company. Productions take place all over Kendal and beyond and range from: street theatre A Passion for Kendal to stage plays Lady Anne Clifford ~ a Woman Cast Out & Oh what a Lovely War to Kendal Yarns Festival of New Plays to BBC Radio Cumbria broadcasts, tours of Retirement Homes and Music Hall.

Kendal Organ Donor Town was founded by Cllr Chris Hogg when he became Mayor of Kendal in May 2015 announcing that his aim was to sign up 1000 new registrations on the organ donor register. Cllr Rachael Hogg received her first kidney transplant in July 1990. In February 2016 Chris donated his kidney to Rachael.

Pop-up portraiture in the park! Abbot Hall Art Gallery is setting up a Georgian photo booth inspired by portraits in the gallery. Dress up and have your picture taken by a photographer dressed as George Romney. Portraits will then be displayed at Abbot Hall to reflect the faces of Kendal today.  

BGKT will be meeting on the 3rd Sundays of the month (except December). 

We will be meeting at Castle Street Community Centre, Castle Street, Kendal LA9 7AD in the Detached Room entrance on the side of the building
