Bystander Training helps participants explore how they can respond to sensitive issues.  Developing their understanding of how prejudice and racism are perpetuated when we fail to step up in small ways that can make a big difference.  The workshop will highlight how to show support for people in a positive and safe way.

Our popular, free family festival will be taking place 26 July. The Town Hall will play host to arts, activities, a cafe, exhibitions, tours, and more.

Kendal Unity Festival Saturday 20 July 2024 

This popular, free family festival will be taking place 10am-4pm on 20 July.  The Town Hall will be host to all sorts of  organisations and groups offering a wide range of interesting things to do.  At the Bridcage a DJ set and buskers will bring the sounds.  

As a consequence of events in the past few years, people are more polarised and divided than ever. Fear, confusion, and the feeling of having lost some control over our lives have pulled us apart and made many of us feel isolated.

How do we connect with nature, what benefits do we experience and how do we connect with others when we are in nature?
